Biography

John is a litigator focused on construction accidents and catastrophic personal injury cases. He was recognized by his peers by being selected to Super Lawyers and was featured on New York magazine’s annual list of Top Personal Injury Litigators and in the New York Law Journal’s section on “Top Verdicts and Settlements” for each of the past ten years. He was also featured in the New Jersey Law Journal’s section for the top verdicts and settlements. He is also an elected officer of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and holds the position of Vice President. Mr. Zaremba teaches the litigation of construction site accidents, chairs a CLE course on construction accident litigation for the NYSTLI, is a vice chair of NYSTLA’s Labor Law committee, and is also a published author with articles featured in the New York Law Journal and ThLegal Intelligencer. He has sat on the Court of Appeals Judicial Screening Panel for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.  John has negotiated several hundred millions of dollars in settlements for his Union affiliated clients and lectures extensively at local union halls around the five boroughs.

Before founding the firm, Zaremba practiced in a large international law firm, in their New York office, where he defended actions involving construction accidents, professional malpractice, products liability, and toxic tort.

His educational background includes graduating cum laude from Drew University, where he lettered in varsity baseball. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the prestigious Fordham University School of Law in Lincoln Center. Zaremba was admitted to the New York State Bar and subsequently admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts.

Zaremba frequently lectures on safety and construction accidents and has taught multiple shop steward classes about accidents and injuries at several Construction Trade Unions in New York. He also lectures about job site safety at NYC building trade locals. The members of the New York City District Council of Carpenters, Laborers Local 20, Laborers Local 6A, IAM 15, Sheet Metal Workers Local 28, Laborers Local 79, Operative Plasters Local 262, TWU 101, Sheet Metal Workers Local 137, Cement Masons Local 780, and IBEW Local 3 are his clients - and he considers them his friends.
